New Year’s Day

Many enjoy the idea of starting afresh, and some see the first day of the New Year as an opportunity to do so. In God’s Kingdom every day is a New Year’s Day. The new life in Christ makes it possible to start afresh every day.

God is always making something new. The Creation-story is a manifestation of his creativity. One of the last promises in the Bible indicates the same:

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Rev 21:5

It is one of the attributes of God. It is part of being the great “I am”. He who always is, is he is making all everything new. That is valid today and every day:

* You crown the year with Your goodness.
And Your paths drip with abundance.
Psalm 65:11

‘Manna’ for today:

He who is making everything new is with me every day in the New Year!
